Utah: Coreform named Simulia Integration Partner to bring CAD-driven simulation to Abaqus users
Coreform Inc., developer of next-generation computer-aided engineering software, has been named a Simulia Integration Partner by Dassault Systèmes.
This partnership marks an important step toward bringing Coreform’s isogeometric analysis technology to Abaqus users through Coreform IGA for Abaqus, an add-in integration currently in development.
Coreform IGA for Abaqus is designed to help engineers run simulations directly on CAD geometry, reducing the need for time-consuming geometry simplification, defeaturing, and manual meshing. By enabling CAD-centered simulation workflows, the technology has the potential to accelerate product development, improve simulation fidelity, and make advanced analysis more accessible to engineering teams.
For decades, preparing models for simulation has required significant time and expertise. Geometry cleanup, simplification, and meshing often represent major bottlenecks in the simulation process, especially for nonlinear or geometrically complex problems. Coreform’s technology addresses these challenges by enabling analysis directly on smooth CAD spline geometry.
“This partnership is not just good news for Coreform, but it also marks a significant step toward high-fidelity CAD-driven workflows in the CAE industry,” said Greg Vernon, Coreform’s Director of Engineering.
