When using two screens (mirrored not extended) on the Mac, the dropdown selection windows and right click windows show on the other screen instead of where they should in the application
Remark: This is a known issue that appears restricted to Mac systems.
The first time a User imports on a Mac system, it takes a while to load and then asks the user if they want Coreform Cubit to access their files.
Remark: This is a known issue that is related to the security stance on Mac systems. This is a one-time issue with a new Cubit installation, future imports shouldn’t experience any substantial performace issues.
After first downloading Coreform Cubit on my Mac, users are presented with a dialog saying "macOS cannot verify the developer of Coreform Cubit-2021.11".
Remark: This is a known issue due to how Apple requires a software’s installation directory to be organized. Go into the Application’s window, right-click, and then say open to be able to run Coreform Cubit for the first time. Accept the dialog that asks if you are sure that you want to open this application. After running it once, Cubit will launch normally.
When fitting a U-spline on MacOS for the first time, Users may recieve a warning regarding "orted" application accepting incoming network connections.
Remark: The "orted" application is part of the MPI executable enabling parallel computations in Cubit’s U-spline algorithms.
When you enter the Uspline display mode, the actions of the mouse buttons change.
Remark: This is a current limitation of our U-spline rendering architecture, which should be overhauled in future releases.
A black screen sometimes covers the U-spline display, such as when a user tries to change the size of the U-spline display.
Remark: This is a current limitation of our U-spline rendering architecture, which should be overhauled in future releases. For now, the user should simply be able to use their mouse to interact (e.g. click and drag in the display) with the display and the black screen should go away.
